Enhanced Observation Officers
Provide attentive, reassuring support in hospital and other agreed settings, maintaining clear observations, records and escalation.
Useful experience: mental health, hospital security, healthcare support or therapeutic engagement.
Healthcare Assistants & Support Workers
Work within an agreed care plan and assignment, supporting comfort, communication, safety and day-to-day wellbeing.
Requirements: relevant experience and current role-specific training will be checked.
Care that is calm, human and professional
People may meet our staff during a difficult or highly emotional moment. The quality of every interaction matters.
Whether you are supporting someone in hospital, accompanying a planned journey or building trust through therapeutic engagement, you will be expected to communicate clearly, maintain boundaries and protect dignity.
Registered Mental Health Nurses
Bring current professional registration and appropriate clinical experience to assignments requiring registered mental health nursing input.
Registration: current NMC status and role-specific evidence will be verified.
Patient Transport & Engagement Staff
Support safe, respectful journeys and agreed therapeutic engagement, including work with young people where the role and checks permit.
Driving: licence requirements depend on the vacancy and vehicle.
Important: role availability, employment status, shift patterns, rates of pay, required qualifications and travel expectations are confirmed in each vacancy or recruitment conversation.

Our two main recruitment areas give us a strong base in the North and the Midlands. Your normal area, expected travel and the location of each assignment will always be discussed before you accept work.

How do I apply or register my interest?

Which roles do you recruit for?
Recruitment may include Enhanced Observation Officers, Healthcare Assistants and support workers, Registered Mental Health Nurses, patient transport staff and therapeutic engagement roles. Availability changes, so email us for the current position.
Do I need previous healthcare experience?
Relevant experience is expected for many patient-facing roles. The exact experience, qualifications and training required will be stated for each vacancy. We will not place anyone into work for which they are not suitably prepared.
Will I need a DBS check?
Many healthcare and patient-facing roles require an appropriate DBS check, but the level and eligibility depend on the duties. We will confirm the correct check during recruitment.
Do I need a driving licence?
Not for every role. A suitable licence and driving record may be essential for patient transport or assignments that require regular travel. The vacancy details will make this clear.
Can Registered Mental Health Nurses apply?
Yes. Nurses applying for RMN opportunities must hold current NMC registration and meet the experience and evidence requirements for the role.
Where are the jobs based?
Our main recruitment areas are Leeds and West Yorkshire, plus Birmingham and the West Midlands. Some assignments may be elsewhere in the UK, with the location and travel expectations agreed before work is accepted.
What shift patterns are available?
Shift patterns depend on the service, assignment and vacancy. Patient support and transport services can include days, nights and weekends. We will discuss current options before you apply for a specific role.
Are roles permanent, bank or subcontracted?
The engagement basis varies by vacancy. The advert or recruitment conversation will explain whether an opportunity is employed, bank, temporary or subcontracted, together with the relevant terms.
How do I attend the October open day?
